Hi,
My printer started having issues connecting over my internal WIFI network. I first noticed that the printer was showing as being offline on my Windows computer even though the printer was powered on. Nothing in my environment has changed when this started happening. Below is a list of things I have tried to resolve the issue.
1. Reinstalled software and drivers on my PC
2. Reset the WIFI settings on the printer
3. Did a complete reset of the printer
4. Ran a diag on the printer, no issues reported
5. Manually connected the printer to the WIFI netwok with SID and password, the printer connects to the network but when I look for connected devices from my PC it does not show up.
The printer connects and works find when connected with a USB cable.
Thanks for any and all help,
Bo

Hi,
Please print the network settings directly from the printer by using the steps HERE. Once it prints, please let us know what is listed for signal strength in row 3-2-1.
Also, please let us know if any other devices can detect the printer (Ex: another computer, smart phone, or tablet).
We look forward to your reply.

Hi, sorry for the delayed response.
Signal Strength is 67%, and no other devices can discover the printer.
Thank you,

Greetings,
Although the signal strength of your wireless broadcast is below optimal levels, its still good enough to provide reliable connectivity.
What i suspect, it that you are using DHCP and that the IP of your device is changing periodically which would make it appear as offline.
To resolve login to your router and assign a static IP to the printer. Make note of the IP you've reserved. Power cycle of printer and view the list of attached devices in the router's admin portal ensure it's using the IP you assigned.
Now return to your PC and remove the printer from the printers and scanners applet. important restart your computer. Now add the printer as a TCP/IP printer using the IP you assigned. If you don't know how to do this please provide the version and build of the OS you're using the printer with. I'll provide instructions.
This process only needs to be performed once. 😉

Hi Rick,
I am using DHCP, this has never been an issue in the past, the printer has always just worked. I did try to assign a static IP and connect via IP to the printer, it just say it can not find the device. I'm thinking it might just be time to upgrade to a new printer. Thanks for your assistance.
