PIXMA 4070 says maintenance cartridge is not installed

Hi! I have a canon pixma 4070 and it showed a message saying that the maintenance cartridge is not installed—having this dilemma, i tried replacing the cartridge even though it is still not full. After replacing the cartridge the message saying “the maintenance cartridge is not installed” still keeps showing up. Can anyone help me or had the same situation as me?
