No way to put in password for MX452

jazzician

I have an MX452 and have had no trouble with setting up the LAN settings for wireless printing but now it is acting strangely.

I do the usual thing and search and find my wireless, which point I hit "okay" and it tells me to put in the password but now it just goes straight to connecting and, of course, fails because there is no password. I've done everything including pushing the WPS button for 5 seconds and hit okay when it asks but to no avail. I've unplugged the printer and started it again but having no luck. Can anyone help?

When the screen displays "enter passphrase" press the asterik * button a few time....  what happens? Doing this should cycle you through the character selection options, upper / lower case, special characters, etc.

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately that screen does not come up. It finds my router/modem, I hit enter and it goes straight to “connecting” and then fails in connecting. The weird thing is that it used to do the pass phrase screen and now just bypasses it. I’ve turned the machine off and on. It definitely seems to be the machine and not router related unless when it finds the router the router is incorrectly sending a message that there is no passphrase required? The router definitely has that level of security though. Hmmmm.
