I have 2 canon printers on my wireless network (TS6100 & MX920). A few months ago I started having issues that every time I reboot my computer, the printers show as offline on all of our wired and wireless devices. If I try to print a doc, the printers appear as choices in the print window but show as offline. The printers do not show up at all in control panel or device manager.
2 Windows 10 computers wired connections
2 Win 10 laptops wireless connected
3 IOS phones wireless connected
I've tried all troubleshooting that I've found online
-Rebooted both computer and printers
-Verified that printers are connected to the same network - The screens on the printers show that they are online and connected to the correct network.
-Ran windows printer troubleshooter
-Tried updating printer drivers but since the computers don't appear as devices on the network, the driver installation fails.
-Tried manually connecting the printers to the network through the printers and re-entered network password.
-Checked firewall settings in Bitdefender
-Tried reinstalling the printers as new devices
I'm probably forgetting some troubleshooting efforts since I've tried them all several times. Sometimes, after several hours, they suddenly appear as available on the network. But then the next time I reboot my computer (for unrelated reasons) they become unavailable again and I'm back to ground zero. I will appreciate any help I can get but I'm also in need of finding a solution that I won't have to repeat every time I reboot. Thanks in advance for your help

Thanks for joining the conversation, Stoshu4!
So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer models you're using within their respective series. For the PIXMA TS6100-series printer, its model number should be on the front of the unit at the lower right, and for the PIXMA MX920-series printer, its model number should be on the front at the upper right. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

Thanks and have a great day!

Hi Stoshu4,
Please try disabling IPv6 on each printer.
To disable IPv6 on your PIXMA MX922:
1. Turn your PIXMA MX922 on.
2. Press the MENU button on your PIXMA MX922.
3. Repeatedly press the down arrow to select the wrench and screwdriver icon and press OK.
4. Use the left arrow to select Device settings and press OK.
5. Use the down arrow to select LAN settings and press OK.
6. Use the down arrow to select Other settings and press OK.
7. Use the down arrow to select TCP/IP settings and press OK.
8. Use the down arrow to select IPv6 and press OK.
9. Select Yes and press OK.
10. Select Enable/disable IPv6 and press OK.
11. Use the down arrow to select Disable and press OK.
12. Press the MENU button.
Turn your PIXMA MX922 off.
Next, let's disable IPv6 on your PIXMA TS6120:
1. Turn your PIXMA TS6120 on.
2. Tap the Wi-Fi icon in the lower left corner.
3. If a password message appears, tap Yes.
4. Tap the LAN setting button at the bottom.
5. Tap Common settings.
6. Tap TCP/IP settings.
7. Tap IPv6.
8. Tap Yes.
9. Tap Enable / disable IPv6.
10. Tap Disable.
11. Processsing....will appear. Eventually the IPv6 settings will appear again.
12. Turn your PIXMA TS6120 off.
Once both are complete, please go to your router and unplug the power cord. Wait about 30 seconds and then reconnect the power cord. When your wireless network is back online, please turn your PIXMA MX922 and PIXMA TS6120 back on and attempt to print.

Hey Patrick,
Thanks for your advice. For the TS6120 I followed your steps above with no luck but then tried connecting the the printer manually again via IP address. Now that IPv6 is disabled the manual setup worked and it is now discoverable on both computers but when trying to print a test page, it says Printer Not Responding and then Printer is in error mode.
The MX922 is discoverable and printable on one computer but not discoverable by the other.

Hi Stoshu4,
Have you tried reinstalling the MX922's printer driver on the computer that is now having the error ?
In regards to your PIXMA TS6120, please follow these steps:
1. On your TS6120, tap the Wi-Fi icon in the lower left corner of your printer's display.
Is the name that is listed next to SSID the name of your wireless network?
Scrolling down the list, is the number list next to Signal strength (%) greater than 70 ?
Lastly, please scroll down to IPv4 address. Write that number down, with the periods too.
2. On your computer, please press the Windows key on your keyboard and the letter R, then let both go.
3. In the Run window that appears, please type CMD and click OK.
4. In the Command Prompt window that appears, please type:
PING and the number that you wrote down before. So for example, you would enter PING 192.168.1.34
and then press the Enter key on your keyboard.
Did you get:
A - Timed out
B - Destination host unreachable
C - Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0
If you got A, that would mean that your computer and printer are not on the same network. Is your computer connected to a VPN?
If B appears, please turn your printer off. Go to your router and unplug the power from your router for 10 minutes. Once you reconnect and your Wi-Fi is back online, turn your printer on. When your printer is ready, please try the PING command again.
C means that your computer and printer can communicate with each other and the driver should be reinstalled on the computer to resolve the printer issues you are experiencing.

Thanks Patrick. After running the command it said "Destination Host unreachable" 4 times and then showed Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0
Whenever I try to reinstall the driver that I downloaded from Canon, it says that "The printer could not be detected on the network". I then try to detect the printer via searching by the IPv4 address with no luck. I've tried this over a dozen times over the last few weeks without success. I also tried resetting the printer back to factory settings and start from scratch but still get the same results.
