Regardless of whether I try to update the firmware via the Remote UI or the device menu on the printer itself, the communication with the server fails. Remote UI says "Failed to update. Check the printer.", the printer device menu option says "Cannot connect to the server, try again."
The printer is connected via LAN to my router. It shows as a connected device in my router settings and is allowed to connect. Printing over the LAN is fine.
I have a washing machine and a refrigerator that are also connected to my network, and these have a far more seamless, friction-free firmware update experience than I'm getting from this Canon device ☹️
How do I solve this irritating issue?
