MY MX882 wireless printer recently stopped working wirelessly!

 I tried uninstalling the Canon software; downloading new drivers; and my computer still does not recognize the printer.  I have no problem connecting the printer to my wireless router.  Can now only print with a cable......I have been able to use an alternate HP wireless printers with no problem.  What is wrong with the Canon installation software?

I have Windows 7 and using an HP pavilion laptop.
