MX922 network connection

Just installed a new modem from Comcast and now my printer is offline and I can't remember how to get it online.

When I went to the Canon support page, a chat bot appeared (Live Support) and offered to help, but didn't tell me until way later (after I gave him access to my laptop to figure out what the problem was) that there would be a charge of $200 to fix it.

Can anyone remind me how to get it to connect to my network?

Wow! We're so glad you didn't go any further with that "website". That was definitely NOT an official CanonUSA website, although they may have gone to some lengths to convince you otherwise.

Here is a link to the instructions you need to get your PIXMA MX922 connected to your network: https://canon.us/3zG9G7X

We hope this helps!

Thanks, Mike. I guess it wasn't such a good idea to give them access to my laptop then. I figured it must be legit because it came up on the legit Canon website!

Oh **bleep** - it wasn't a legit Canon web site! It was this thing that came up when I googled how to get Canon MX922 printer online "canonmx922 [dot] com/wireless-setup/"

Not sure what to do now - I watched what he was doing, and it didn't seem suspicious, except that he tried to log in to a comcast account with the admin id - but didn't have the correct password.
