MX922 communication error while printing

I have an MX922 with firmware 3.010 using several Mac computers running OS X (10.11.5) with MX920 Series CUPS driver 11.7.1.0 installed.  All connected through a wifI network reporting excellent signal-to-noise ratios (full wifi fan).  When a print job is sent to the printer, it alternately returns a support code 300, support code 306, or sometimes I just get a "Printing - A communication error has occured" in the job line with no additional error reporting.  I have place the printer, computer and wifi router in the same room with no improvement in behavior.  This now happens near-constantly and I am unable to print reliably.  Please help.
