The 5,156,69 error can be resolved by reinstalling the driver. If you have reinstalled and the error persists, it would be caused by security software installed on your computer blocking the incoming data from your PIXMA MX472's scanner.

What version of Windows is installed on your computer?
If you are using a Mac, what version of the operating system is installed?
Are you using your PIXMA MX472 wirelessly?
or with a USB cable?
