I have recently bought a new macbook with macos bigsur (version 11.06). I have a Canon PIXMA MP240 but on the canon website it says there is no driver or software I can install to make it work on the new mac. Is there any way around this? I don't need it as a scanner but mainly as a printer.
Please help as I am a student and will not be willing to buy a brand new printer.
Thank you

Hi,
The MP240 was retired in 2014 and the last driver that was made was for Mac OS 10.9 Mavericks. I understand you are not looking to purchase a new printer but this model is not compatible your Mac OS.
If you do need to purchase a new printer, you do qualify for the Canon Upgrade program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service or are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This program allows you the opportunity to purchase a replacement product discounted from the list price. Free ground shipping is included with your purchase.
If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 mon-Sat, 9 AM to 9pm EST.
