Hi,
Everything was working well until a couple days ago I noticed the wireless indicator light wasn't lit up. It then failed to print wirelessly. When I get into the settings, all the settings for the wireless options are grayed out along with a couple other network options. The options that remain don't mention wireless at all.
Between it working and not working nothing happened, no power outages, network was up running perfect, no computers (windows) were updated.
I've turned it off, unplugged it, tried to reset it, dug into the other settings to try and enable wireless, but all settings even remotely related to wireless or network are grayed out.
Any thoughts what it could be? Thanks!

Hello Canoff,
It sounds like you have the Color imageCLASS MF624Cw. (The courier font often makes the "6" look like a lower case "b".) When the "Wireless LAN settings" options are grayed out, this usually means that "Enable Direct Connection" has been turned "On". Turning "Enable Direct Connection" off will restore the option to "Wireless LAN settings" and restore communication of your MF624Cw on your network. Please follow these steps to turn the feature off:
1. Tap <Menu> in the <Home> Screen.
2. Tap <Network Settings>.
* If the logon screen appears, enter the correct ID and PIN using the numeric keys, and then press ID.
3. Tap <Enable Direct Connection>.
4. Tap <Off>.
5. Restart the machine. Turn OFF the machine, wait for at least one minute, and turn it back ON.

Okay, so this solution worked for me too, but why in the world does the printer change back to direct connection every 30 days or so? And WHY do I have to change it back and then restart the machine? why not give us a firmware update that just lets us switch back and forth without restarting? Also, for the record, I have never set the printer to direct connection. I am the only person in the house who uses the printer, and this has happened 3 times in the last 3 months. VEEERRRRRRY frustrating.
