I am pulling my hair out. MF4890 network scan used to work perfectly, now feed the first page, which scans. Then ejects the rest of the pages through the feeder without scanning and says lost communication with scanner. This is insane. I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and still does the same thing. WTF? Help!

Not a great answer unless you are selling printers I suppose. This unit works perfectly except for the noted issue which has to be a firmware or driver problem. Surely, I can't be the only one.

Has anyone in the community ever solved this problem? Or is this just Canon forcing us to go buy a HP or Brother. Maybe those guys won't make us toss a perfectly good device because they are too lazy to fix the drivers.
