MAXIFY MB2700/MB2720 software downloads and set up issue

I am having issues connecting my laptop to my printer. Is it possible to set it up without using the CD that came with the computer? I do not get the option of selecting MB 2700, as the only option I have is for MB 2720. Is this the reason I am not able to "add device" all other functions work fine. So frustrating!
