Did you mean:

Imageclass D570 - need driver software -> PPD <- for Ubuntu Linux

I have searched extensively for PPD software that facilitates installation of my printer, and cannot find such.  What / where can this be found?   OR, where can I get whatever DVD or CD-ROM came with the printer, which presumably has the PPD modules I need?

Hi gandsnut

Even if you had the PPD it's probably not compatibal with your CUPS printing.

I had the same problem with my P-200.

My solution was to set up a windose VM on my Linux box, install the drivers into the VM, and print from there.

This is the Readers Digest version but you can read the detailed solution

I know it's sad that we have to fall back on another OS but not all corporations have gotten the email. 😉

Cheers.

FB:   I had my system working fine with CUPS until I changed the Ubuntu desktop from KDE to MATE.  Somewhere in my residence I'll bet I have the original Canon DVD with drivers, which came with the printer.  Where?? Hell if I know.  Time has come to pester Canon relentlessly for a replacement DVD.    Thanks.
