IJ Scan Utility not showing option to scan both sides of document in ADF mode

Until January 2026, my TS9520a showed the option check box to enable automatically scanning of both sides of input documents in ADF mode. The input paper used to be sliding in and out after each side was scanned. As of February 2026, the option has disappeared. I recently got a message to update my printer firmware so I suspect the update may have impacted this feature that I used to love

Greetings,

Firmware doesn't typically remove features.  Typically it addresses security vulnerabilities, and adds or enhances features and functionality.

Can you please tell us what is the version and build of the operating system you're using it printer with?

How is your printer connected and to what?

What software did you install with the printer?  Are you using Canon software to scan?  You can use the link below for reference.
