Hi, Dusty1one!

So that the Community can help you better, we will need to know exactly which version of iOS is running on your iPad. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

If this is a time-sensitive matter, our US-based technical support team is standing by, ready to help 24/7 via Email at http://bit.ly/EmailCanon or by phone at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666) weekdays between 10 AM and 10 PM ET (7 AM to 7 PM PT).

Thanks and have a great day!

ios 7.0.4

As a result of some specification changes in iOS 7, an ad-hoc connection is not properly established with the SELPHY CP900 when there is no mobile data communication or mobile data is turned off.

Solution:

  • For iPhone and iPad w/3G - Enable mobile data communication on the iOS device.
  • For iPod and iPad wi-fi only - You will need to connect using Infrastructure Mode.  This will require an access point such as a wireless router.

Dear,

When can we expect the fix?

Finally here is a working solution from Canon Europa.

The CP900 should be able to be used with our Easy PhotoPrint app on iOS 7 (we have just tested on 7.1). Please check to make sure that you have made the right settings.

On the device:
"Menu" - "Wireless lan settings" - "Comm. mode", here can you find the "enter displayed SSID on target device"

On the phone:
"settings" - "Wi-Fi - choose a "Network" (other) - write here the name of the device from the display (SSID) - to the "security" please choose "wep" - go back once, and to the password please write the "WEP key" from the devide. Connect. Then open the Easy-PhotoPrint application, choose a picture that you would like to print, in the print settings you can press "Print".

You have to connect manually and choose wep key security. It woks also without cellular data for EPP.

That's right it works like a charm.....thank you soooooo much!
