How to Disable Canon Image Garden During Scanning

I use the Canon IJ Scan Utility on an old under-powered Windows 10 laptop to scan pictures and documents. I don't need Image Garden because I send the documents directly from My Documents to my main computer. How do I stop Image Garden from loading because it slowsown?

If you never use and don't need Image Garden can't you just delete it?

The only part of Image Garden I use is the Canon IJ Scan Utility.

 If I uninstall Image Garden I think I'd lose that. I just don't want all of Image Garden loading. I've pinned the Utility to my Task Bar and use it, but now all of Image Garden loads when I click the utility.

Based on what I'm seeing, (MG3620), Image Garden is not part of the Printer and Scanner Driver

Image Garden is an optional install.  It did come as part of the original installation with the printers CD.  You should be able to remove it and use the installer above for printer and scanner functionality without IG.

Well, that worked. Thanks! This old 2.30 GHz laptop with 3MB RAM is slow enough running Windows 10 without waiting for Image Garden to load each time. My Canon IJ Scan Utility is still there and works.
