Model printer Pixma TX6320  MacBook Air   MacOS Sequoia  Version 15.4.1

After I updated the software to do the scan, It showed the printer name GS6320. OOPS.

So, I tried to download the IJ Scan Utility to install. I renamed the current apps with the same name and added OLD to it.

During the update it said, there was already one there and did I want to replace it. YES  and it finished. it finished. I looked in finder to see the new apps in the folder and it show the "OLD" program named apps. So I deleted them. Then tried again. Wouldn't download.

I don't even know if I can restore the  "OLD" apps I deleted.  I hope you can help.

I would do it. I thought (bad idea) to

Greetings,

Canon does not make a printer model TX6320 or GS6320.  Can you please confirm the model of your device.

Canon does make a printer model TS6320

My recommendation is that you start over.

I'd remove the printer from the Printers and Scanners applet using the (-) minus icon.  Then uninstall all Canon related drivers and utilities.

Now restart your Mac.

Use the installers applicable for your model.  Drivers are not interchangeable. If you need help locating drivers please let us know.  🙂

This is where I downloaded everything from.

I fount it odd that it said the version I was running on was different than the one I am running.

I then changed it.

Thanks to all of you for attempting to help me.  There was a software glitch. my husband did some work/research and got the software/drivers back on the machine. The problem was I am a Mac and he is Windows and searching for the Printer was a nightmare. He had to do something to his system settings, maybe mine too. I wish I knew. I was past frustration and slipping into anger. He is so possessive of his hardware. Let's not go there. Suffice to say, he was never been happy I went to Mac.  Again, thank you all for your suggestions. This is. my frustration comment to me, "Where is my gun?"

Greetings,

No worries. I appreciate the feedback.  It's easy to get confused when the driver says series but also includes more than one specific model.  I suspected you had the TS6320.  I prefer Windows myself but own several MACs too.  Hope you are enjoying your printer.
