Connectivity Issues-MF753CDW and Mac/iphone

Cdoran

I have a Canon Imageclass MF753CDW. It’s connected to my wireless network successfully. It’s plugged into the wall directly. It works beautifully until it falls asleep, and I have to physically press the button to wake it up every time I print something from my MacBook Air (latest version of Sonoma) and iPhone. (MacBook Air says it’s offline and iPhone cannot discover it.) I have already read that this is an issue. I have read and seen of some complicated workarounds. I’m just curious if there is a simple fix now that this issue has been known for a while. Luckily, I can still return it as this feature is very important to me. Any updates would be appreciated! Thank you!

Hello,

If you are running into issue with airprint waking the printer up from sleep mode, you can try some of the steps below.

1. If you are using it via Wi-Fi, you can move the printer to improve the signal strength or power cycle the router.

2. You can check that the latest firm ware is installed.

3. You can assign a static IP address to the printer.

If you continue to run into issues, I suggest contacting support over the phone at 1-800-652-2666. Our agents would be happy to assist with checking the network settings/environment to see what might be causing the issue.
