Connecting MG3650 to internet

I’m having an issue connecting after getting a new router. I’m following all instructions correctly, I’ve had 2 others in my household try too.

I’m following this and various YouTube videos 

When I get to the step 3 to press the colour then wi fi button it doesn’t do anything it actually starts to print a blank sheet of paper.

sometimes this does this at step 1

please help this is effecting my work now and the printer isn’t old. It’s printed about 100 sheets of paper.
