Normally when I am on the Scanning Shortcut screen I create the name of my file then proceed to scan. However as of today, after I scanned my document I noticed my file names are not saving from what I had put in on the previous screen. It has reverted back to "Image_001" before I have even pushed the finish button after scanning.
I did have to uninstall and re-install the software and driver today as the scanner randomly stopped working halfway through my work day and kept giving the error "The directory or file cannot be created". That happened spontaneously after I had been scanning for about 4 hours with absolutely no issues. That issue went away after I uninstalled and re-installed everything, but now this new issue of my file names not saving after scanning has occurred. I need the scanner to keep the file name in the output settings after every scan. How can I fix this?

Hi, Did you ever get a fix for this? Same issue on windows 11, CaptureOnTouch V4.13.1122 x64, P-208II.
I also had issues witht he scanner not working. After hours of reinstalling etc I get it working again. Everything works except being able to change the default file names and, the deal breaker for me, being able to add the date stamp to the filename. The options appear to save but as soon as a scan is carried out the file name reverts to image_00x.pdf. The same option page includes the location to save to - this works fine. Thanks

Ok for anyone else having this issue. I did get it working at last after much fiddling about. I installed CaptureOnTouch Pro saw same issue with it then uninstalled it and reinstalled CaptureOnTouch_Standard_V4.13.1122.1221. At this point for some unknown reason changes to the Output 1 tab > File name section are now saved. (I am sure I uninstalled and reinstalled Standard several times before this. Also originally the scanner had stopped working with my win11 pc. Multiple driver reinstalls failed, I then installed a trial of Vuescan in desperation. This somehow allowed the P-208II to work again with CaptureOnTouch. I uninstalled Vuescan and it still worked, just the default file name issue had appeared on the fresh CaptureOnTouch install. The PC was rebooted many times but not every time a piece of software/driver was removed/reinstalled. Hope this might help someone else.)
