Canon professional print and layout will not send to print

Hi all,

 

I hope someone can help.

Last week my canon professional print and layout software just stopped sending my images to print.  I keep getting the error " Error - please check the printer's operational panel or remote UI" in the print job screen (see image below).   

 

Lightroom & Photoshop are able to send to print but the results are very different.

 

I have reset & re-installed everything.  All software and drivers are up to date.

I'm running iMac with the latest Catilna software.  Like I said before, it was all running fine last week.

 

Anyone expereinced the same issue?

I had a similar problem and solved it by connecting a cable from the Mac computer to my Canon printer. It works fine now.

I had the same error. I called the number and Canon answered right away. The solution was actually simple. The tech went to where the printer was in the Professional Print & Layout software. I could see me pro 1000, but he searched for another printer and a pro 1000 came up that had a different IP address. It worked. 

However, I wanted to add that the reason I was trying to use the Canon software was because all of my prints coming from LR were very very red. I went to the end of youtube watching videos to figure it out but couldn't. I still don't know why LR screws up the prints, but using the canon plugin from LR prints them perfectly. I am very happy with canon.
