Canon, please provide a patch to fix MF scanner utility on Mac

The "network scanner settings" option is broken on the updated driver file (mac-scan-v21517-00.dmg), please fix it ASAP, without it, the utility software is NOT able to connect with any scanner,s which means the the scanner feature of the expensive all-in-one machine is USELESS. Please RESPONE.  

PS. i added the canon printer as Bonjour Multifunction type, not sure if it matters or not

Thanks for the suggestion!  i was able to add my printer to the iphone using this PRINT app, and do the scanning from my iphone.  But I do prefer doing all the scanning and paperworks on my computer instead.  Thanks anyway

That was my resolution.  But it's not permanent.  Today I tried to open Network Scanner Settings from the MF Scan Utility menu bar, and it again would not open.  Fortunately I have no need to make a device change right now, but a fix from Canon WOULD be nice.
