For my MF656Cdw there are two printer drivers available for the Mac (Ventura) -- one a regular driver, and one a CARPS2 driver. What is the difference between the two? I noticed that only the regular driver, has, for example, the option to switch print resolution from 600 to 1200, which the CARPS2 driver does not. Is one driver inherently better than the other?
Thanks.

I'd solved my own question. Buried in the manual is the quip that the CARPS2 driver is "for Japan."
