I have a Canon MG5420 Printer. When I scan a photo it goes into "Canon My Image Garden" and the only option for saving is PDF. I used to be able to save as a Jpeg, can someone help?
Thanks,
Marilyn

Hi MarilynMonty,
To scan with My Image Garden and save as JPEG, please follow these steps:
1. Place the photo that you wish to scan face down on the scanner glass of your PIXMA MG5420.
2. Open My Image Garden.
3. Click Scan in the menu on the left hand side.
4. Click Photo at the top of the right hand side.
5. Scanning will start and when it is completed, the image appears as a thumbnail.
6. Click Save at the bottom right of the Scan view to display the Save dialog box.
7. Give the file a descriptive name in the File Name box.
8. Click Browse next to Save In and choose a location that you wish to save the scanned image.
9. Click Save and the image will be saved in the location that was specified.
