Why hasnt canon produced a win11 ARM 64 compatible driver for the Canon MG5300 series ?   My printer is perfectly fine. I will not buy another Canon unless they get their driver act togeether.

DOES ANYONE KNOW A WORK AROUND ?

I have tried everything I know and all that I can find on the web..  I can get the scanner to work but NOT the print function . Explanation and suggestions welcome.

Hello atriptothemoon,

Thanks for your question.

The PIXMA MG5320 is supported on an ARM system running Windows 11, but the Canon drivers are not used. Usually, attaching the printer directly to the computer via USB cable or wirelessly through your router should cause both Windows print and scan drivers to be added.

Try updating the operating system first.

1. Go Settings -> Windows Update -> Advanced options -> Optional updates.
     a. Check for Canon driver here. If listed, download then install and restart your computer.
If that does not cause the printer to show then try deleting then re-adding the driver on the computer.

Use the following steps to delete the existing driver:

 1.  Hold down the Windows button + press the letter R on your keyboard to display the RUN dialog box.
 2.  Type shell:::{A8A91A66-3A7D-4424-8D24-04E180695C7A} and click OK.
 3.  If listed, right-click the Canon MG5300 series icon then click UNINSTALL.
 4.  Select YES if prompted.

Next, confirm all remnants for the Canon driver have been removed.  Perform the following steps to confirm the driver was deleted:

 1.  Hold down the Windows button + press the letter R on your keyboard to display the RUN dialog box.
 2.  Type printui.exe /s then click OK.
 3.  Click on the Drivers tab.
 4.  In the Installed printer drivers list, select the Canon printer then click Remove.
 5.  Click on Remove driver and driver package, and then click OK.
 6.  In the confirmation dialog box, click Yes.
 7.  When data collection is completed in the Remove Driver Package dialog box, click Delete or Remove.
 8.  Click OK
The deletion of the printer driver is complete.

If you were not able to delete the printer driver properly from the Installed printer drivers list, restart your computer then repeat the steps.

Afterwards, go back to Printers and Scanners and attempt to add the driver by clicking Add Device.
