I've got a Canon iPF8400 that was connected to a local machine on our network that I would access through the Bonjour Shared printer function. TLDR: I cannot access via that method anymore and our IT dept told me that there is no way for me to use this as a network printer:
Since it is network based printing, your device would require the correct driver to be installed to connect to the printer. Unfortunately, the latest driver available is for Mac OS 13, and because of this your laptop and printer are incompatible for printing services.
Does anyone else use the iPF8400 or a similarly aged product via network printing? It seems that this should still work - I can ping the Static IP assigned to the computer. So it is connecting - I just can't seem to send print jobs. Any help would be appreciated!
