Printer MG5420 problems with printing

So lately I noticed that the printer doesn't show up all the time on my wi-fi and I can't print but I have recently noticed that the printer won't even turn off if I hold the power button. I now have to unplug the power cable just to shut it off and then plug it back in and turn it on just to print. The printer seems to work fine for a while after this hard reboot but if it happens again where I cna't print I once again have to manually unplug it to reboot. Is this some hardware problem and maybe I need a new printer? Its only a few years old yet we hardly use it.

I am having a partial print problem too. My printer is 4 years old and I've replaced cartridges many times. I've tried deep cleaning twice. It didn't fix the problem. Suggestions?
