video taken on canon sx70 hs not showing on my pc via file manager

I took photos and videos (jpeg format) on my canon sx70. I can see and play the videos in the camera, but they have not been copied across onto my pc.

I used a usb cable to transfer the files. Running windows 11. I can see the photos on my pc, but not the videos. Nor can I see the videos in my camera viewing the card via file manager.

Can someone please help?

Hi milkow,

If you are connecting the camera and computer directly with a USB cable issues like this can happen. We do not recommend using that kind of method to transfer files. We would recommend using a USB card reader. With that you would take the memory card out of the camera, load it into the card reader, open the memory card on your computer, and then all the files should be visible. We do not make USB card readers through Canon, so there aren't any specific ones we could recommend.
