sx160 memory card folder problem

I have a new Powershot SX160. Is there a way to stop it from creating new daily or monthly folders on the card? I view my photos directly on my flat panel tv and it's a real annoyance to have to keep returning to the folders to open another so I can finish viewing. The April folder only had five pics and now there's a new May folder.

No unfortunately that is a common method Canon uses with their Powershot cameras. 

The only way around it is to create folders yourself and slect them for storing the pictures.

How do I create folders? I couldn't find anything in the online manual.

Yes your right I looked again and you cant create custom folders on you model camera which should have been a no brainer for the designers of the camera.

So there are no good options for you unfortunately unless you carry a pocket full of memory cards
