Hello,
I have a Powershot SD200 and bough a new Sandisk 64GB memory card. When inserting it, I get a memory card error message. When I go into the Tools menu, the Format function is not available (highlighted).
Could the problem be that it's an SDXC card, since this is an older camera? or is it that I need a card smaller than 64GB? Or both?
Thanks,
Trang

The SD200 can only use standard SD cards and only to a maximum 2GB capacity.
Supported memory card types, and maximum storage capacities.

Your camera might only be capable of using a 512 MB card and just a plain old SD card back in the day. I would say first it is the type of card you tried and then maybe second the capacity.

Thanks for the advice. I will try a regular SD card.

Thank you. That's super helpful. I suspected I needed something smaller and different type of card, but wasn't sure what parameters.
