As a gift about 2 years ago, I got a Canon PowerShot SD1300 IS, "Digital ELPH". I got this right from the box. In order to download pictures from the camera into a laptop, I have to install Canon's ZoomBrowser EX. Does anyone know if his needs to be installed when logged in as administrator?

I can's say specifically for the ZoomBrowswer EX software, but in general for Windows, installing software requires an account with administor-level rights.

Yeah, I'm getting conflicting opinions on this, so I followed one person's most direct advice -- using the SD-card-to-USB adapter that came with the camera in order to access the pictures as files. Works like a charm. Thanks.
