Using Bluetooth I can connect my SX740 HS camera to my Galaxt S8 phone running Canon Connect App. When I try to use my phone to give Remote Live View on the sx740 I am told that the app is connecting to the camera via wifi. After the three boxes, Finding Network, Connecting to Network and Connecting to Camera are ticked the phone briefly shows the view displayed on the camera lcd. However after about 5 seconds the view is lost and the phone shows that the wifi connection has been dropped.
Any ideas why the phone always drops the wifi connection?
