Viewfinder sx50 hs

Hi I just got my canon sx50 Hs yesterday. I tried to use it and the viewfinder seems black. There's nothing appears. Is it broken / defective? Or it haven't been setup yet? Can u pls help me. Thanks

You need to check the manual to fully understand all the uses / info the DISP button can do / does. This is part of page 43.

Hi

To activate the viewfinder, did you press the 'DISP' button repeatedly until the viewfinder comes ON?  I think it's on page 40 of the manual under advance settings.
