Did you buy it new? It sounds like it is "Grey Market".

I am sure it is long past the warranty period so there is probably no advantage gained by regeristering it with Canon.

I bought it on-line from Ted's Electronics. Just found out that they do sell grey market products. I just want to register it to get product updates

Far from a camera expert but if it's "grey market," there is probably nowhere to register it. You might call where you bought it. Was there any warranty and/or registration information given on the website?

Thanks, I should have researched the website a little more before buying

Mike, you're the man! Thanks so much!

Actually it was Peter who found the right link. I just posted a photo showing it could be registered in Europe.
