Canon 'claims' they have fixed it.... reading peoples comments here and on other forums I would say no. There are many threads here about this problem.
The SX280 is no longer produced, the replacement is the SX270, comments already made applies to this model as well.

Accord to the silly "solution" they sent me after applying online for help from them..just take the battery in and out, hold down start....all missing the point! I've partially solved with the fluffy velcro so I'm happy and moving on with this problem....thanks for input.
