My 2 year old SX230 HS has been acting up. I mostly use the "P" mode. Lately, the camera stopped displaying the reviews after each shot and when I go to the setup menu, the review function on the screen is faded out and the selection bar ships over it when I try to click on it. Did the firmware crash? Now the only mode that shows the review on the menu and where the review actually still works in in the AUTO mode. I like this camera, I have used it under rugged conditions and has served me well, but I would hate to have to purchase a replacement 280 (or similar) on account of this one issue,
