I don't find any chatter about the SX 400IS camera. Does no one own this camera or…?

Samintx,
Looks like the SX400 IS has not been getting many favorable reviews. Although it does okay with photos, a few reviews mention the pictures are somewhat noisy, and that there are better cameras with more features than this one. It basically is a point and shoot with little else as far as features. It is not small enough for a pocket. I would say for a beginner camera with a nice zoom range, it should be acceptable. Not so much for advanced users though. It does not have full manual control, but does have quite a few presets that people seem to enjoy. For me the lack of full manual control is a deal breaker, and is one of the reasons I used to like the SX line of cameras.

Thanks for your reply. I 'm a point and shoot no expert camera user so it sounds like this camera would be good for me. I like the zoom feature. My smaller cameras are only 20x. 30x makes a big difference.
