possible to take b&w pics? How do I do it? 

OK... Figured out how to take a group shot. Any way I can select a given version of the shot and discard the rest?

Use P mode, press func/set,my colors, select bw or sephia.

During play back, func/set, select  protect- to prevent deletion, select favorites - to tag picture, group images, and many other functions - you read manual to assist you.
