Powershot SX420 Is water damage?

Hi, 

I have the power shot SX420 IS, and it was brought camping one year, and left out overnight, it rained and it has sat in a casing for years. Recently (today) me and my mom found it, charged up the battery a bit, and it turned on, the battery hasn't fully charged, and unsure if it will, I turned it on and the screen is just... white? No options nothing, it takes photos the flash works and everything, is it possible water damage? Does it look like a battery problem? I would love to use the camera.

Sadly the camera has been damaged.  It's 10 years old.  Repair is likely to cost more than replacement.

I'd start shopping for a new camera.  Sorry. 😕
