Powershot A540 - fixed memory

Does the Powershot A540 store photos onto "fixed storage" or just the memory card.  I was able to get memory card files moved to computer, but see completely full "fixed storage" that I cannot access.

Helping 95 year old, and out of my depth.  Appreciate confirmation I am not missing any precious memories.  I can see the camera view and the copied memory card files have same count, so think OK there.

There is no memory in the camera for storing images, they are only stored on the memory card. Any other memory in the camera is used by the camera to run the firmware to allow the camera to operate, that is probably the "fixed storage" you refer to.

Thank you Whiz!

If you look at the memory card, the folder called DCIM is the only location where your files are stored, all other material is used by the camera for its own purposes.   Good for you for getting out there and shooting - I hope I can do that when I reach your age - kudos!
