My Canon Powershot SX730 works for playback mode but not for shooting mode. I've searched up solutions but the only one that works for me is lightly tapping around the lens but it is only temporary. It returns to normal shooting mode then after 5 seconds the screen glitches and it turns off. After that point anytime I try to turn on the camera in shooting mode it turns on shows the Canon watermark and extends but doesn't go past the black screen. Is there any solutions anyone is aware of?

Hello ririi,
Let's try a hard reset of the camera. Remove the battery and memory card. Close the compartments. Press and hold the [On/Off] button for 30 seconds. Then, follow up with these next steps. Try cleaning the battery contacts with a clean, soft microfiber cloth. Do not use any kind of solution when trying this. Go ahead and put the battery back in only. Make sure it has a good charge. Try the camera again. If the problem persists, then the camera has a malfunction unfortunately.
