I don't have a 260 but with all 3 other Powershots I have owned I could use Canon's Camera Window software to transfer items to my Mac. You can also try Image Capture that comes as part of your standard Mac apps, though I am not sure if it handles movies or just stills. The way I usually do it is to use a USB card reader. I take the memory card out of the camera and put it into the reader. It then appears as just another drive on my desktop and I drag files to the folder where I store movies.
