I have an older Canon camera that I had not used for a while. I tried using it recent, but started having a lens problem where the lens would not retract when I try to turn off the camera. Subsequent tries resulted in the following message popping up on the screen.
"Lens error, restart camera"
I don't know how to restart the camera. Does anyone know how I should proceed to get this matter resolved?

Hi,
The lens error message pops up when there is a mechanical issue with the lens mechanism. Unfortunately this camera is too old to be serviced but you should be able to get a discount on updating the unit through the Canon Upgrade Program at (800)385-2155 M-S 9am-9pm EST.
