Hello Taylor024,
The PowerShot G7 X Mark II will stop recording at 29mins, 59 sec. automatically or once the file size reaches 4 GB, whichever comes first. You can increase the recording time to an hour by shooting in standard definition VGA (640 x 480). The [!] icon indicates that the camera's internal memory buffer filled up as the camera could not record to the memory card quickly enough. You can perform a low-level format of the card, lower the image quality, or switch to a memory card that supports high-speed recording. Formatting the card will erase all of the data on that card. Even protected images will be erased, so make sure there is nothing you need to keep. If necessary, transfer the images and data to a computer, etc., before formatting the card.
