PowerShot S410 Brownish blurry images, battery won't hold a charge

so - i have the above camera - i bought new at a local store - now closed.. it worked fine right up to the lcd screen is now displaying brownish and blurry images - and the battery isn't holding a charge.. i get it may need a new battery.. as for the lcd screen..? plus the last approx 10 pictures transferred to computer are brownish and blurry as well... other than that - the camera and orig box still looks like its 1 day old.. is this covered under the bad ccd issue program.. can it be fixed.. is it worth being fixed aside from sentimental value.. any help would be appreciated
