Hi mikesam69, Based on your description, your camera will require service to correct this issue. You may set up your repair online at
www.usa.canon.com/repair. Enter your model number, date of purchase, and zip code under "Service Your Product". Click on "Submit" and follow the procedure to finish your online repair setup. I recommend printing 2 copies of the completed repair form. One to include in the box with your equipment and one for your records. It’s a good idea to attach a copy of the insurance and tracking documents (from your shipping company) to the copy of the form you keep.
