I have been using my canon power shot sx740 and I always have the flash settings on. It’s the one where I have to flick the flash to prop open with a button on the side of the camera, but now the flash just won’t go off at all even with the settings on. I also see a small red flashing camera symbol on the bottom left of my camera screen. any recommendations?? Thanks!

Hello valentina9918,
I'm really sorry to hear that your flash no longer fires. Let's see if we can force the flash to fire. Set the camera to the P shooting mode. Press the [flash lever] to raise the flash. Press the right directional button and choose the [FLASH ON] (lightning bolt without the A) mode. If the flash still does not fire, then unfortunately, there is a problem with the flash.
