My Canon Powershot A520 Mega Pixels 4.0 keeps saying memory card error

Hi, I bought this camera a little while ago but I can’t figure out what’s wrong with it. It says memory card error so I tried getting a new one and formatting it in the camera, but that hasn’t worked so far.

If anyone had any advice I’d appreciate it.

1. What capacity memory cards are you using? Anything over 16 GB will not work reliably or at all.

2. Look down into the card slot to see the contact pins. Are any of them bent out of line?

Thank you! I was using a 32gb but I’m gonna try a 2gb.

Always you the SD recommended in your manual. Never use micro-SD with the adapter. I doubt there are bent contacts in the SD slot but there may be debris in there.
