Issue with the Flash on my PowerShot SX740 HS

Product name - Power Shot SX740 HS Black 

I have two videos sowing my issue, When I turn on the camera it will not enable flash for my photos. One video shows me switching the flash settng on and switching around the dial to diffrenet photo capture settings. The other shows how long it can take when I turn on the camera for it to recongnize that I have the flash open. Lastly there are two photos showing my battery life on screan and the type of battery                                                 

. Also, this used to not be an issue and we have the same exact camera at another office that I use, same age and it works perfectly with the flash. Please let me know what I could try, I can take more photos and videos. Thanks!
